Welcome to Little Explorers!

Our Little Explorers program is before and after school care for preschool and pre-K students that attend BLOCKs during the day. This operates out of our Juniper Hill (BLOCKs) location at 29 Upper Jocelyn Ave.

Morning Programming: 7:00am – 8:00am

Afternoon Programming: 2:00pm – 4:00pm OR 2:00pm – 5:30pm

Explorers Membership

An annual $50 membership fee is required to secure your child a place in the program. This fee gives you access to our full program, including variety of perks and discounts on Programming Days, Vacation Weeks, and Summer Programming.

 

Registration

A regular schedule of 2 days or more is required. Schedule changes can be accommodated for the following month, with at least two weeks notice.

 

Before School Program

Explorers Before School Program will be offered 5 days a week when school is in session. Students can be dropped off any time between 7am and the start of the school day. In the event of a delayed school opening due to inclement weather, the before school program will be canceled for the day. 

Families can register for 2, 3, 4, or 5 days a week schedules. 1 day a week registrations are not available. Tuition is based on the number of days per week a student attends.

After School Program

The Explorers After-School Program will be offered 5 days a week when school is in session. Students can be picked up any time between the end of the school day and 6pm. If the school closes early due to inclement weather, our program closes as well.

Families can register for 2, 3, 4, or 5 days a week schedules. Tuition is based on the number of days per week a student attends.

 

Discounts

A sibling discount of 10% is given to each child past the first enrolled. This does not apply to promotional rates (early bird, flash sales, etc.). Framingham Public School Employees also receive 10% off each child. This does not stack with the sibling discount.

 

Financial Assistance

Financial Assistance may be available to eligible families through our scholarship program. Scholarships are awarded on a limited basis, please contact the Department of Community Resource Development or the Program Coordinator for more information.

 

Drop-In Options

Drop-in care is available on a first come, first served basis and is at the discretion of the Program Coordinator. Please make your request in writing at least 2 weeks prior to the date needed.

Payment

Payments are due by the first of each month for the upcoming month’s tuition. Payments can be made online at the MyRec website or via check / money order, made out to: The City of Framingham, with your child’s name identified in the bottom left corner on the For / Memo section. If choosing to pay be check or money order, please drop the check off with your Program Coordinator.

Late Fees

A $25 late fee per child will be applied to accounts that are not received by the first of the month.

 

Late Pick Up Fees

Please note that we close promptly at the end of the day. A late fee of $1 per minute per child will be applied to any pick up that occurs after your scheduled pick up time. Three late pick ups will result in an assessment of registration and may result in suspension or termination of program.

 

Bounced Checks

Checks returned due to insufficient funds will result in an additional $25 fee, payable only with a month order.

 

Refund Practice

The Department of Community Resource Development has a refund practice located on our website. We process refunds on a case by case basis. Refunds can take up to 30 days to be issued from the time of the refund request. If you would like more information please visit our website or email us.
