For the first time in decades – and possibly ever – wrestling comes to the iconic Nevins Hall in the Memorial Building! Join us on Wednesday, January 29 at 7 p.m. as the Framingham High Flyers Wrestling Team takes on Bay State Conference rival Braintree High in a co-ed matchup like no other.
This isn’t just a match – it’s a celebration! Part of Framingham’s 325th Anniversary festivities, this event combines the grit and talent of high school athletics with the rich history of Nevins Hall, an almost-century-old gem in our city.
🎙️ “This is such an awesome event for our team to experience. Wrestling doesn’t always get the spotlight like other sports, but this event is a game-changer for our program,” said Framingham High Wrestling Coach Erik Delehanty.
The night will also feature a special Senior Night celebration, honoring our hardworking senior athletes. With captains Dan Sullivan, Kizen Semprum, Diego Rivera, Jaymie Last, and Leah Condriet leading the way, the Flyers (currently 10-3) are ready to showcase their skills in front of a home crowd.
🗣️ Mayor Charlie Sisitsky shared his excitement: “This partnership highlights the Flyers’ incredible athleticism and gives our community a chance to experience the energy of wrestling in our historic Nevins Hall. Let’s make this an annual tradition!”
